Our worldwide Initiatives
Based in Germany I.K. Hofmann has established more than 100 International branch offices in Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Slovakia, Switzerland and the United States to promote change through our initiatives.
Diversity and equal opportunities
Our focus on people is reflected in everything that we do. Whether it is related to our jobs, day-to-day life, or sports: we stand for diversity and equality and are passionate about the issues that concern the world and the people that are impacted. We were founded in 1985 and continue to be led by Ms. Ingrid Hofmann. Ms. Hofmann and her family have built a diverse women owned organization with the goal of impacting the local communities in which we operate.
No fan without work
Diversity has always been a factor for Athletes, teams and sport clubs:
Passion and individual ability mold teams and their athletes, regardless of where they come from, what culture or religion they belong to or what views they hold. They are supported by their passionate fans. With our international “No fan without work” initiative we are supporting those fans by providing them with jobs that help provide for their families and by supporting local athletics to bring communities together to build relationships and celebrate accomplishments.
Our History Supporting Clubs and their Teams
For 20 years. I.K. Hofmann has supported sports and their fans. In Germany we have sponsored the German professional soccer club SpVgg Gruether Furth which competes in the Bundesliga, since 2002, including serving as the title sponsor since 2017. In 2012 we added sponsorships for the professional Handball team, HC Erlangen, and the professional Ice Hockey team, the Nürnberg Ice Tigers, and these sponsorships remain active today. We have also added the Nuremburg Falcons, a professional basketball team, and Hallescher FC another professional soccer team. We have supported these teams an their fans through our international “No fan without work” initiative, and we are supporting those fans by providing them with jobs that help provide for their families and by supporting local athletics to bring communities together to build relationships and celebrate accomplishments.
We are happy to extend this initiative to the US with our 2 new Brand Ambassadors Devon Starling (Tennessee State) and Taja Booker (University of Memphis) who we chose based on their connection to who we are as a company. They embody who we are as a company and long before they knew who we were, they lived out the words of our mission statement. We began this journey to find a select group of hard-working student athletes that have overcome challenges in the hopes that we could help them write their story in return for them helping us tell ours!
